ROCK ISLAND — A team of Rock Island High School student entrepreneurs served up their best pitch this summer and hit it out of the ballpark.
Seniors Rashawn Overton, Romar Cantu and Cornelius Aldridge won a $7,500 first-place prize in July in a national pitch competition sponsored by the INCubatoredu Uncharted Learning Foundation. Mr. Overton, Mr. Cantu and Mr. Aldridge created a team called "L.E.A.D.," which stood for “Leading Everyday and Driving to Success.”
