Member Development Manager
Your Role: Building our Member Community
As a Member Development Manager, you’re the face of everything we stand for. You aren't just filling a seat; you’re the boots on the ground, bringing our entrepreneurship programs to schools and districts all over the map.
This isn't a "sales" job. We aren't looking for someone to just push a product. We need someone who can sit down with a superintendent or a principal and listen. You’re building a bridge for leaders who are actually ready to change the way kids learn. It’s about finding those people who want more for their students and showing them that we have the tools to help them build something better. Key Responsibilities:
Grow Our Impact
- Build and execute smart, strategic plans to grow our member base in California and on the West Coast
- Identify and engage decision-makers in districts and schools to share our vision.
- Lead discovery calls and program presentations that speak directly to the needs and goals of each school community.
- Manage the full sales cycle — from Discovery to Dedication to Success — with confidence and care.
- A proven track record of hitting sales goals while maintaining integrity and trust.
- Ability to think strategically beyond personal accounts and contribute to broader team success.
- Interest in growing into future sales leadership or team development opportunities.
Build Relationships That Matter
- Serve as a trusted guide and partner to school leaders, helping them envision and implement powerful learning experiences.
- Represent Uncharted Learning at events, conferences, and workshops — and always leave an impression.
- Keep in touch with prospective and current partners to foster long-term connections.
Collaborate to Drive Success
- Partner with Marketing to align outreach with strategic campaigns.
- Team up with Member Success to ensure a seamless and supportive onboarding experience for new schools.
- Provide feedback from the field to help shape strategy, improve materials, and refine messaging.
Track, Learn, Improve
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date sales activity in our CRM (HubSpot).
- Regularly analyze performance metrics and pipeline data to optimize your approach.
- Share wins, challenges, and insights with the Mem Dev team — we get better together.
What You Bring:
- A genuine love for education and a belief in what young people can achieve with the right tools and support
- A natural communicator who can inspire, influence, and build rapport with a range of people.
- Self-starter mindset — you're organized, focused, and comfortable working independently.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (especially HubSpot) and sales tracking systems.
- Willingness to travel 25% of your time to meet with schools and attend events.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or education partnerships (K-12 or EdTech experience preferred).
- Familiarity with Uncharted Learning’s programs is a plus — passion for our mission is a must.
The Role is Full-Time, Remote, and reports to the Director of Member Development.
