Township High School Dist. 211’s Business INCubator Pitch Night returned to in-person May 18 at Hoffman Estates High School for the first time since the pandemic, and teams representing each of the district’s five schools competed for a share of the start-up funds.
In the end, two teams left with $10,000 each to further build their businesses and brands.
Scot Leonard of Scot A. Leonard and Associates, a member of the Dist. 211 Foundation and a judge at the competition, said he was impressed with the teams’ preparation.
“One of the discussions the judges had was it was amazing how we went right back to where we were before the pandemic,” Leonard said. “The kids are communicating, they are energized and they are action item-oriented. The energy picked right back up this year.”
