Naiya Daswani and her co-founders wanted a better instant ramen that they could enjoy.
"We just live off of instant ramen," Daswani told me. So when she entered her high school's business incubator program, creating a new ramen product seemed like a natural fit.
Daswani, 18, co-founded Shlurp with two other students at the Harker School in San Jose: her co-CEO Emily Mitnick, 17, and Siddhi Jain, 18. Jain is now a student at UC Berkeley.
They won a high school pitch competition organized for the first time by Pegasus Tech Ventures in conjunction with its annual Startup World Cup competition.
