The Lakota West team – MatchedUp - is among five high school groups nationwide invited to travel to Chicago later this month to compete in the “INCubatoredu National Pitch” for thousands of dollars in start-up funding.

More area schools are making a priority of nourishing budding teen entrepreneurs through business start-up classes. It’s a new focus coinciding in recent months with a local high school student and two recent Miami University graduates appearing on TV’s popular “Shark Tank” show.

Lakota Schools Launching Version of TV’s ‘Shark Tank’ for Students

LIBERTY TWP. — A local variation of national TV hit “Shark Tank” is coming to Lakota Schools. Participating students from Lakota’s two high schools will be developing their own entrepreneurial projects – solving real-business world problems – before presenting their business proposals to a panel of local executives and potential investors.
