In San Antonio, TX, an all-women team of Alamo Heights High School students realized one of the problems facing manufacturers of 3D printers was the procurement of raw materials available to make filament. As anyone who has ever watched “Shark Tank” on TV knows, the lights shine brightest on those fortunate enough to land a chance to try and strike a deal with any or all of the millionaires/billionaires in the room.
In its third year, students, teachers and volunteer mentors at Vista Ridge High School, Leander ISD, Texas, share experiences with the INCubatoredu and ACCELeratoredu student entrepreneurship programs.
It was 2017 when I first heard that a business incubator program was starting at my high school, Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, TX.
I was curious as to what this class could offer me. I decided I would give it a try.
The INCubatoredu program will be available to Midlothian freshmen and sophomores this fall and will open to all high schoolers in August 2020.
