ST. CHARLES – The three winning teams in the St. Charles East and St. Charles North High Schools' INCubatoredu programs were announced at the final pitch night on May 21 at the St. Charles East auditorium.

Ten months of work came down to a 10-minute pitch for 13 students this week at Genoa-Kingston High School.

Students will get a hands-on experience in starting their own business through a new course being offered through Rochester Public Schools.

More than 50 student entrepreneurs from Naperville School District 203 high schools gathered for the 2019 Business INCubatoredu Pitch Night Monday at North Central College’s Wentz Hall, the culmination of a yearlong project in which teams developed their own product or service to gain investment funds in a “Shark Tank” style event.

A group of businessmen sat in a conference room on a Wednesday afternoon in mid-February discussing complex issues—how to grow their mobile application user base, invested dollars remaining after product development 2.0 and the establishment of a legal component.

Whether it’s sink or swim, Ridgewood High School students who are interested in business courses will get the chance to cap off their studies next year by making a pitch to kick start an entrepreneurial venture.

Roslyn High School was proud to host the INCubatoredu@RHS Student Entrepreneur Pitch event on Feb. 28 and March 1 in the school library. The event is a milestone for student teams as they present their startup business ideas and request grant dollars to fund the further development of their minimum viable product (MVP). 

ST. CHARLES- Adorning the wall in one of the classrooms/business incubators at St. Charles East is the quote, “You never lose in business. You either win or learn.”

This fall, Huntley High School will launch a business incubator program through INCubatoredu to provide students the opportunity to create and develop their own product or service.
